BIAD's The Academy Space is a trading name of AR International Holdings Limited (“we”, “us”), which is the data controller for personal data described in this policy.
We process personal data you provide when you contact us or book academy hire through this website, and when you visit or use our premises.
What we collect
- Name, email, phone number and message content (contact form)
- Booking dates, notes and payment status (booking form)
- Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers on our servers
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and manage bookings
- To send booking and enquiry confirmation emails
- To prevent double-booking of hire dates
CCTV
CCTV cameras are in operation at BIAD's The Academy Space, Unit 1 Hollies Court, Cannock, WS11 1DB, in and around the premises (including areas such as entrances, hallways, training and conference spaces, tea/coffee making facilities and external areas including the car park where fitted).
What we record and why
CCTV may capture images of identifiable individuals. We use recordings for legitimate purposes including security and safety, crime prevention and detection, resolving incidents, and managing and protecting the premises. Our lawful basis is typically legitimate interests (and, where applicable, legal obligation).
Who can access footage
Access is limited to authorised staff and contractors who need it for the purposes above. We may share footage with the police or other authorities where the law requires or permits.
How long we keep it
CCTV footage is kept only for as long as needed for those purposes and is then securely deleted, unless it must be retained longer because of an incident, complaint, insurance claim or legal requirement (often up to 30 days for routine footage, or longer where necessary).
Your rights
You may have rights to access, rectify or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the ICO. To make a request relating to CCTV, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to locate relevant footage (such as date, time and location). We may need to verify your identity.
Interfering with CCTV
You must not tamper with, move, reposition, disconnect, cover or disable any camera or recording equipment, or block or obscure its field of view (for example with screens, banners, furniture, equipment or temporary structures), except where we have given prior written permission. Interference may breach our terms and conditions and could affect the safety and security of the premises.
Retention
Booking records are kept for administration and accounting as long as required for our legitimate business purposes.
